Backyard Farm 1

Early in the morning we were awakened by the strange noise outside our house.  It was the children getting fruits in our backyard.

The BALIMBING (Ingles: carambola o starfruit)
Carambola, also known as star fruit, is the fruit of Averrhoa carambola, a species of tree native to the PhilippinesIndonesiaMalaysiaIndiaBangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The fruit is a popular food throughout Southeast Asia, the South Pacific and parts of East Asia. The tree is also cultivated throughout non-indigenous tropical areas, such as in NicaraguaCosta RicaPeruColombiaJamaicaTrinidadEcuadorGuyanaDominican RepublicPuerto RicoHaiti, and Brazil, and, in the United States, in South Florida and Hawaii.

Though I cannot stop them from getting the BALIMBING, I myself get one, I mean two... for this is the first time I am going to harvest fruits from our backyard.

So sweet and yummy isn't it?  Yes, it is.  But I cannot eat it because I have a mouth sore.  Too bad because I have to give it to the children who have fun eating BALIMBING.
